What are stock market trading hours?

The New York Stock Exchange regular trading session is 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, except exchange holidays. Nasdaq’s regular session uses the same clock. Those hours are exchange rules, not a live “is the market open right now” feed on this site.

When do the markets close?

The NYSE and Nasdaq regular sessions close at 4:00 p.m. Eastern on a normal trading day. Early-close holidays are published by the exchanges. Belvedere does not publish a live open/closed indicator.

What this page will not answer

  • Whether a specific ticker is halted right now
  • When crude oil or gold futures open
  • Whether you can place a weekend order at a named broker
  • Pre-market prints as a substitute for a 10-Q

Company reports arrive on filing dates, which can fall outside the cash session. Use latest 10-Q filings for stored quarterly report dates and stock information for filing-based company data.
