How to Read a 10-Q

A quarterly report is a filing, not a quote. This is a reading order for Form 10-Q, tied to how Belvedere stores tagged facts. Not a fill-in template and not earnings-call theater.

How do you read a 10-Q?

A Form 10-Q is a quarterly report U.S. registrants file with the SEC. Read the period end and filing date first, then the financial statements, then the notes, then MD&A. It is a report on the company, not a live stock price and not a buy rating.

Is a 10-Q the same as an earnings press release?

No. A press release is issuer communication, often with non-GAAP figures. The 10-Q is the filed quarterly report. When they disagree, the filing controls for Belvedere’s extract.

Do not mix annual and quarterly facts

A 10-K annual number is not comparable to a 10-Q quarter without adjustment. Belvedere’s extract refuses that mix. Year-over-year quarterly growth uses a comparable prior quarter when one exists. See methodology.

Where to open a 10-Q on this site

Each company page lists stored filings with SEC links. The extract-wide table of newest quarterly reports is latest Form 10-Q filings — filed dates, not scheduled earnings. Numerical changes from comparable periods appear on Research Radar. Blank cells mean a concept was not identified—not that the value is zero.
